I consider myself very lucky to have been inside this mansion not once, but twice. It's the talk of the town on the chair lifts with someone on the lift actually asking me if the house has a Himalayan salt room. The answer is yes.
So how do these homes sell? Last year Paul Benson listed this home for $40mil. He explained that the buyer came via Instagram, but in reality, people with such incredible wealth knew about the home. After all, how many people in this country can afford a $40mil home, and how many already have a $40+ mil home.
Located in the coveted ski in/ski out community of the Colony, this home is actually perfectly situated on the mountain. You don't have to climb too high in the snow to get there, which is nice because it's been snowing non-stop ion Park City this winter. The home has all the assets you'd really need, like a Himalayan salt massage room, a gym, bowling ally, mud room with direct access to the slopes, and so much more. My favorite room is the nest at the very top of the spiral staircase which features 360 degree views of the slopes, the mountains in the distance, and much more. The house actually lives like a home with good sized bedrooms, an in-law suite, a very useable kitchen and dining area and a very generous living area. The house was sold furnished and will be sold furnished again. The owner, Russ Weiner, the creator of the Rockstar Energy Drink, actually never slept in the house. He upgraded some features, hence the increase in price.
